Using your toolkit
What do I receive when I buy a toolkit?
A digital download, available straight after checkout and sent to your inbox. There’s no postage and no waiting. Each toolkit is a set of Word, PowerPoint and Excel files covering the whole assessment cycle, plus print-ready PDFs.
What file formats are included?
Word for the toolkit and the student task sheets, PowerPoint for the assessment slide deck, and Excel for the class tracking workbook. Print-ready PDFs are included too, if you’d rather print than edit.
Can I edit the resources?
Yes. Every Word, PowerPoint and Excel file is yours to adjust: change wording, swap examples, add your school’s letterhead.
Does it replace my unit of work?
No. Each toolkit covers assessment and reporting, not teaching. It works alongside your own unit, a NSW Department of Education unit or a commercial one.
What happens if the syllabus changes after I buy?
There’s nothing extra to buy. Updates are free for the life of the Human Society and its Environment (HSIE) K–6 Syllabus (2024).
The free sampler
Is the sampler really free?
Yes. Add your name and email and it arrives straight away. You’ll also hear about new toolkits and launch offers, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
The new syllabus starts in 2027. Why look now?
Most schools are planning and programming for the new syllabus now. The sampler lets you see how a Syllabix rubric, work sample and report comments fit your school’s approach before you commit to anything. It’s yours to keep for when you start teaching the new syllabus.
Licences, sharing and school orders
Can I share a toolkit with other teachers at my school?
A single-teacher licence covers the teacher who buys it, in their own classroom. If your Stage team wants to use it, choose the stage-team licence at checkout. It covers up to five named teachers in one Stage team at one school.
How much is a stage-team licence?
$149 for a toolkit, which costs less than five single licences.
Can my school pay by purchase order or get an invoice?
Yes. Email support@syllabix.com.au before ordering with your school’s name and details, and you’ll be sent an invoice your school can process through its usual purchasing system.
Do you charge GST?
No. Syllabix is not registered for goods and services tax (GST), so no GST is included in the price.

Email support@syllabix.com.au. If you find an error, it will be fixed, and the corrected version is free to everyone who bought the toolkit.
